Your goose feather & down duvet will last longer if you follow these easy steps. Air your duvet on a regular basis. When you receive your new duvet it is best to air it for 24 hours before use. Shake your duvet on a daily basis to fill it with air and spread back on the bed. During winter hang your duvet over a bannister every few weeks to allow moisture to evaporate. In the summer hang your duvet outside on a line.
These goose feather & down duvets can be washed at 30°C in a home or commercial washing machine. We recommend that your duvet is not washed too often, maybe once every two years or so.
Drying the duvet thoroughly is most important. Firstly dry the duvet on an outside clothesline during the hot summer months. Then use a dryer on a low setting to finish off the drying process. Use a tennis ball inside the dryer to help break down any clumping of the feather and down fill. Leave the duvet in the dryer for a while to cool down completely. Take the duvet out of the dryer and squeeze it. If you feel and dampness at all then repeat the drying process in the dryer until it is perfectly dry.
When you intend not to use your duvet for a while always keep it in the breathable storage bag provided.
