Care Information for Your Canadian Goose Down Duvet King 7.5 Tog
With proper looking-after, your 100% Canadian down duvet should easily last 10 years or more — we’ve seen them go longer.
Air it regularly: When it’s new, give it a full 24 hours outdoors or in a well-ventilated spot before first use to let it loft up properly and get the maximum warmth. Shake it out now and then to fluff the down and keep air circulating inside.
Washing: It’s designed for home or commercial machines at 30°C on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent (no fabric softeners — they coat the down and kill the loft). Use a large front-loader if possible to give it room to move.
Drying: Line dry first if you can, then finish in a tumble dryer on low heat (30°C or gentle setting). Pop in a couple of clean tennis balls or wool dryer balls to help break up any clumps and restore the fluff. Keep going until it’s completely dry — even a bit of dampness can make the down clump and lose performance. Better safe than sorry.
Storage: Once clean and bone-dry, fold it loosely and pop it back in the breathable storage bag we provide. Keep it somewhere cool, dry, and away from direct sunlight or damp.
