Care Information for Your Canadian 7.5 tog Goose Down Double Duvet
With proper care, your 100% Canadian down duvet should last 10 years or more — plenty do.
Air it out regularly: New duvet? Hang it up inside over the bannister or lay it flat in a breezy spot for 24 hours before use to let it puff up fully and reach peak warmth. Give it a good shake every so often to redistribute the down and keep it lofty.
Washing: Safe for home or commercial machines at 30°C gentle cycle with mild detergent (skip fabric softeners — they ruin the loft). A big front-loader helps it move freely.
Drying: Start with line drying if possible, then tumble on low (30°C or gentle). Chuck in a couple of clean tennis balls or wool dryer balls to bash out clumps and fluff it back up. Don’t stop until it’s bone dry — any leftover dampness clumps the down and cuts performance. Worth the extra time.
Storage: Once fully dry, fold loosely and store in the breathable bag we supply. Store in a cool, dry spot away from sun or moisture.
